A clock built to catch the light, not just tell the time

Thirty odd silver rods radiate out from a polished centre, each one tipped with a faceted crystal bead that catches whatever light hits it, morning sun, a lamp switched on at dusk, a candle on the mantel below. It's less a wall clock in the traditional sense and more a piece of kinetic light sculpture that happens to keep time.

At 45cm across, it has enough presence to anchor a plain wall without overwhelming a room the way a solid 60cm piece might. The open, radiating design means it never reads as heavy or dark, even in silver, because there's more air between the rods than there is metal.

The face itself is kept simple and legible, aluminium alloy with clean numerals, precisely because the real detail happens around the edge. That contrast, quiet centre, busy perimeter, is what makes the piece work as well up close as it does from across the room.

Where the sparkle earns its place
